Nordic Walking with Annelie, Claudine et Satu

Nordic Walking started off in the Scandinavian countries in the beginning of the 70's.
The real breakthrough came in 1997 when a Finnish Sports Institute in cooperation with other agencies, developed specific walking sticks for Nordic walkers. This made the present Nordic Walking technique possible and the activity grew in popularity all over Europe.
Today, over 8 million people practice the sport.

What is Nordic Walking?

Nordic Walking is a full-body work out; an active walk that increases your overall strength and endurance.
It can be done by anybody, anywhere, at any time of the year.
Nordic Walking is very sociable and easy to learn.
The technique is simple; Nordic Walking uses two specially designed walking sticks to work the upper body while walking. It's a simple enhancement of normal walking.
With a good technique, you enhance your walk with 30-40% and exercise 80% of your muscles.

What is Nordic Walking-Cross?

Nordic Walking-Cross is an activity where we blend nordic walking with different types of exercises to create an effective workout. Nordic walking-Cross is more physical than a regular nordic walking session. We walk faster and the terrain is more varied.

A Nordic walking session with Nordic Sports

A Nordic walking session with Nordic Sports lasts 1h45 minutes during week days and 2 hours during weekends. A Nordic Walking Cross session lasts 1h30. Since there are more members present on Sunday morning there is always one coach and two assistants present during this workout. This helps us to ensure individual attention and adapt to each person's wants and needs.

1/ Warming up: Walking for about 10 minutes followed by some active stretching during 7-10 minutes.
2/ Intensive walk for about one hour and 15 minutes during weekdays and one hour and 30 minutes during weekends.
3/ Cooling down for 5 minutes followed by stretching for about 7-10 minutes.
